The first of three gaming hosting companies is joining the growing number of large gaming companies looking to take advantage of the rapidly growing demand for gaming.
The two companies announced Monday that they have entered a joint venture to create gaming hosting service, which they said will serve gamers from across the globe.
Dell, founded in 2006, has built a reputation as a leading gaming platform provider for a variety of platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
The company’s gaming server, which was built for use by gaming companies such as Valve, will be used by more than 1 million gamers on its platform, according to Dell.
The deal will allow Dell to provide gamers with the services they need to stay competitive, and Dell said it will expand its services for other gaming platforms.
Dedicated server hosts are often used by large gaming platforms for hosting content, including content from major publishers.
But the gaming platforms that use dedicated server hosts have struggled to meet the demand of gamers, said Steve Smith, president of gaming services for Dell.
Smith said he was confident that Dell would be able to meet this growing demand.
“We’ve seen a huge surge in the number of people who want to play with us and are interested in hosting their games,” he said.
“I believe this will be a great fit for Dell, a company that has always had a lot of experience in the gaming industry.”
The company said that it will continue to invest in new services and infrastructure for gamers.
“The partnership is a great way for Dell to further leverage the power of our platform and expand its reach,” said Jeff Schuh, chief marketing officer of Dell, in a statement.
“With the added flexibility of the new service, we expect to see tremendous growth in the industry as a whole.”
Dell has built its reputation as one of the top gaming companies by offering services such as video gaming, games consoles, online gaming and online services.
But Smith said the gaming services will be focused on gaming PCs and the Xbox One, a popular video game console.
The companies announced a number of initiatives last year aimed at growing their respective gaming business.
The deal comes as gaming companies have struggled with a rapidly rising demand for online gaming.
Microsoft has been hit by a series of major cyberattacks in recent months, and more than 200 people have died in a cyberattack on a Japanese game developer.
But some of the biggest games publishers have been finding ways to get gamers to play their games offline.
The recent spate of attacks has also made it harder for people to play online games like League of Legends and World of Warcraft without paying a premium.
