A man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting two police officers during a police raid in Dublin.
The incident occurred on Tuesday at the end of a four-hour police operation in the south of the city.
It happened in the area of the Kildare Street Road and Rathfarnham Road where the men were working.
Police said they had received a call from the man, who they believe may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
They are still investigating the incident and a post-mortem examination is due to take place.
In a statement, Dublin City Council said it was “extremely concerned” by the incident.
It added that the council has been in contact with the gardaí.
The Garda Commissioner said the man was arrested and has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
